Meet the Jack's Butterflies Team


Paul Gates is Jack’s father and has been with Jack’s Butterflies since the beginning. Experienced with business operations and customer service, Paul currently works as the Global Head of Service Delivery for Jones Lang Lassalle. Like Rachel, Paul has experienced the full range of challenges in raising a rare child. Paul’s goal is to make sure everyone who wants or needs support, gets support however major or minor that may be.

After graduating from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Pamela Buccini moved to Adelaide and joined the Yamaha Music Foundation in 1977, undertaking the role of State Director in the following year. Through her involvement with Jack’s Butterflies, she is relishing the opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of others whom she has never met and may never meet.


Jane Lewin is an experienced lawyer by trade and has worked in private practice in Australia and the UK and currently works in-house for a financial services company in Brisbane as a Regulatory Change Lead. Driven by her passion to help kids with rare diseases and their families to live their best lives, Jane believes in the purpose of Jacks Butterflies to foster an inclusive community

Andrew Stevens is an experienced Director and currently works as the Managing Director of Spacek Advisory management. Prior to this, Andrew served approx. 25+ years as an officer in the Australian Army. With a prolific career, Andrew believes in the services Jack’s Butterflies provides to children with rare diseases and their families.
